Terms of Service

The rules and legal terms that apply when you use Muave. Please read them — they matter.

Welcome to Muave. These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Parity Ventures LLC ("Muave," "we," "us," or "our") governing your use of the Muave mobile application and website (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Muave. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you are 18 or older, that you have not previously been banned from the Service, that you are legally able to enter into this agreement, and that you will use the Service only for yourself, not on behalf of another person.

2. Your account

You are responsible for your account and everything that happens on it. You agree to provide accurate information about yourself, to keep your sign-in credentials confidential, and to notify us promptly at support@muave.app if you suspect unauthorized access. You may not share, sell, or transfer your account to anyone else, and you may maintain only one account at a time.

3. Community rules and acceptable use

Muave exists so adults can build partnerships on honesty and mutual respect. There is no objectionable content or abusive behavior we consider acceptable. When using the Service, you agree that you will not:

  • Harass, stalk, intimidate, threaten, or bully anyone, on or off the app.
  • Post or send hateful, discriminatory, or violent content, including content that attacks people based on identity, orientation, race, religion, disability, or any other characteristic.
  • Post or send sexually explicit content, including explicit photos or messages.
  • Impersonate any person, misrepresent your age or identity, or create a fake or misleading profile.
  • Send spam, solicit money from members, advertise commercial services, or use the Service for any scam or fraudulent scheme.
  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
  • Post content that infringes anyone's rights, including privacy, publicity, or intellectual-property rights.
  • Attempt to scrape, harvest, or collect data about other members, or to reverse-engineer, disrupt, or interfere with the Service.

Breaking these rules can result in content removal, suspension, or immediate permanent termination of your account, at our sole discretion and without refund of any paid amounts.

4. Your content and our moderation

You keep ownership of the content you create on Muave — your photos, bio, and messages ("User Content"). So that we can operate the Service, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and distribute your User Content solely as needed to provide, secure, and improve the Service (for example, showing your profile to potential matches and delivering your messages). This license ends when your content or account is deleted, except where limited retention is required as described in our Privacy Policy.

We maintain a zero-tolerance policy for objectionable content and abusive users. To keep the community safe:

  • Every member can block, unmatch, and report any other member directly from profiles and chats.
  • We review reports and act on legitimate ones — including removing offending content and ejecting the responsible user — within 24 hours.
  • We may remove any content or restrict any account that violates these Terms, at any time and without prior notice.

5. Purchases and subscriptions

Muave is currently free to download and use, and during our launch period all premium features are available to every member at no charge. If we introduce paid subscriptions or in-app purchases in the future, they will be optional, clearly priced, and processed by Apple through the App Store. Any such purchases will be subject to Apple's payment terms: billing, renewal, cancellation, and refunds are managed through your Apple account, and subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. We do not receive or store your payment card details.

6. Safety — please read this

Muave does not conduct criminal background checks on members and does not verify statements members make about themselves. You are solely responsible for your interactions with other members. Use good judgment: get to know people through in-app chat first, meet in public places, tell someone you trust where you're going, arrange your own transportation, and never send money or share financial information with anyone you meet on the Service.

If another member makes you feel unsafe, block and report them immediately. If you believe you are in danger, contact your local emergency services first.

7. Termination

You can stop using Muave at any time and can permanently delete your account in the app via Settings → Account → Delete Account. We may suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms, if we are required to by law, or if we reasonably believe your conduct harms other members or the Service. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 4, 8, 9, and 10) will survive.

8. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. MUAVE DOES NOT GUARANTEE THAT YOU WILL FIND A MATCH OR PARTNER, THAT ANY MEMBER'S PROFILE IS ACCURATE, OR THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE. AI-GENERATED ICEBREAKER SUGGESTIONS ARE PROVIDED FOR CONVENIENCE ONLY AND MAY BE INACCURATE; YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE MESSAGES YOU CHOOSE TO SEND. NOTHING ON THE SERVICE CONSTITUTES LEGAL, MEDICAL, OR FAMILY-PLANNING ADVICE.

9. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PARITY VENTURES LLC AND ITS OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND SERVICE PROVIDERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, GOODWILL, OR PROFITS, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE — INCLUDING THE CONDUCT OF OTHER MEMBERS, WHETHER ONLINE OR OFFLINE. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE OR (B) USD $100. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some of the above may not apply to you.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Parity Ventures LLC from any claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your User Content, your use of the Service, your interactions with other members, or your violation of these Terms or of any law or third-party right.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising out of these Terms or the Service that cannot be resolved informally will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Wyoming, and you consent to their jurisdiction, except where the law of your place of residence requires otherwise.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or by email before the changes take effect and update the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
